Cool LS1 powered DeLorean

Has it ever been done??? Would an LS1 even fit? I've never seen one of them in person, no idea how much room is under that rear hatch.

it was discussed before and the consensus was it wouldnt be able to handle the torque without significant structural work. Anything will fit with enough work.

Lightbulb

Here is a link to site where they swapped a Lotus V8 into a Delorean. I think the LS1 might be comparable in size.

You know I do believe the Lotus and the Delorean share the same PRV trans so that swap should be a nobrainer but an LSx would need a stronger transaxle like from a Porsche or maybe from a C5 Vette minus the torque tube.

Make sure you put in the Flux Capacitor to make it work.

but it must be with the upgraded Mr. Fusion dark matter enery generator.
the old plutonium charge runs out of juice faster and needs to hit 88mph running start before you get to see some serious ****.
