Starting my S13 LS1 project.
About a week ago I picked up this 89 240 coupe for $400. It is a rolling chassis with complete suspension, brakes and rear diff. It also has a clean title. The 240 also came with a brand new Koyo SR20 Aluminum Rad and some 17" Konig Caffine rims 2 w/brand new tires(both are for sale). I will be using the car as my school project and will be seam welding it, building a cage and depending on funds possibly the LS1 swap. When i finish up school I will be wrapping up the car. Below are a few shots of when I first got the car. I should have some updates quickly.
As you can see the car has some small rust areas. But they are nothing compared to alot of 240's I looked at and they will be easily fixed.

Got some work done today. Scraped some more of the interior and cut up the trunk floor to make provisions for the fuel cell. I should be able to post some pics tomorrow when I get my camera back.

You are lucky, somebody already had stripped all the sound deadener out for you! I got my S13 bone stock and head to strip all of the interior out. While that isn't that big of a task, what sucked is the car sat for like 4 years before I did that so you can only imagine how it smelled inside that car.

Ya it was nice all the interior was already removed, makes my job alot easier. Would have been nice to get a rust free car. But for this area this car would be considered rust free. It was a steal of a price to, I had been looking for awhile for a roller.

Got a few updates on the 240. Havnt had to much time to work on it but I got a little bit of work done. Next I will be finishing up the interior and removing all the glue. I am also looking for a R33 GTS crossmember. I should have some more updates later this week.
Got the Momo Power wheel w/hub for $70. I wasnt really looking for one but that was way to good of a price to pass up.
Found this seat on eBay and for some reason knowone bid. It is a Momo Corse Acropolis Evo Kevlar Carbon Seat. I ended up winning it for $95. I will end up having a friend in trim class make a new cover for it and it will look alot better. Otherwise it is just missing 2 plastic trim pieces and otherwise is in great shape. No cracks or damage from a crash. It also came with Momo aluminum rails.
Here is the fuel cell I picked up. I ended up deciding to cut the floor of the trunk out to better fit the cell and be able to mount it lower. I will also be adding a bar in front and behind the cell. It should protect it better and stiffen up the rear of the car.
I got some more work done on the interior but there is still alot to do.
Here is the Koyo Rad that came with the car.

Thats funny I hadnt seen anyone else do it like that before. All my friends thought I was crazy when I first thought of it. Do you have any other pics of your cage. I am still in the design process and looking for a good setup.
