Mods:

pacesetter long tubes
hooker cat back
moroso cai
nitto dr's

Best run was a 13.7 @ 102, with a 2.3 60ft

Really couldnt get the tires hot, everytime i tried a burnout the car would just slide sideways? Temp was real cold outside i think in the high 40's, abnormal for AZ. Track prep wasnt the best, nobody was really hooking too well.

I was happy with my times i was atleast hoping for a 13.9

Cam will be coming soon, pretty sure im going with a cc305 220/230 114.
Do people usually do oil pumps with the swap? I know my pressure runs real low. About 18psi at idle, 35 at cruise, and not sure at WOT.

You should change out your DR's when you do your cam swap. Nittos are trash.

For what its worth...every .1 in the 60' is .2 in the 1/4.

Good Luck!

Tony.

If your thinking about getting a CC305 cam you should by my used one. $75 for the CC305 on a 114lca, and CC springs and retaners that will support the extra lift. The cam has a few 1000mi on it, and my car went 11.70 at 115 cam only with this cam.

255/60/15 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials.

Best out, even with my new setup im sticking to a DOT class and running a larger MT DR.

Did you run at speedworld last night? I heard the track conditions were horrid so I wouldnt get too worked up about it.

You should check out AZFBA.com, we have our own message board with a lot of knowledgeable people from a various backgrounds and a nice amount of sponsors.

I would stay away from a 305, that things is small. You should probably do a hot cam kit if you want to do it for 500$. There are many more cams out there that are just as streetable but will make more power.

no i ran at speedworld on friday night. my friends were there on saturday and said they track was the same as friday. so im not too worried.

The 305 makes more power, from what i have been told, than the hotcam. And i cant pass up a deal on the cam, springs, retainers, and locks for $75 bucks!

Did you run at speedworld this weekend at all?

no I am currently finishing up a few things on my new cam only setup, so negative but my friends were there. that is a good deal, make sure you do rockers too if the price is right! two people here in phx ran 12.4 @ 111 with that cam and some crazy driving, so lets hope for the best!

Thats cool. I hope so, i think it would be cool to hit 12s.

Especially with all the ls1 owners thinking lt1s are worthless

m6....

I have nitto drag radials, but i just couldnt seem to get a good enough burn out going to heat the tires well enough. I have NEVER hit a 60ft better than 2.2

Nobody could really hook that night, i was spinning all through 1st and somewhat through 2nd.

I was with my friend who has bolt ons and recently installed cam in his 98 ta ls1. His best was a 13.2 @ 111 with a 2.3 60ft

Cant wait to see what i run with the cam. May go once more before the cam swap to see if i can improve.

Nitto's aren't worth a damn on the track. Good for street use thought.
I would invest in some ET Streets or better DR.
