Default low coolant light

hey guys whats up, my low coolant light is turning on when i drive my car 4 a long distance , it doesnt run hot the needle always stays below the halfway mark, and i checked the fluid and it seems 2 b ok . any1 have any ideas on what may b causing it 2 turn on? thanks in advance guys

Ive heard that these sensors go bad. You might want to check it out.

Sometimes they get gunked up or just go bad. You can replace it with a new sensor, try cleaning/reinstalling the one in there, or just disconnect it and the light will stay off. My car doesn't have one, think they took them off our cars in 2K?

Try unplugging the sensor cleaning it and plugging it back in. We do that all the time on the 3.1, 3.4 and 3.8 chevy motors. Very common on those.

where is that sensor at? when i turn my car on and all of the lights come on all except for that one come on, is it on the passenger side down low?

Sensor is on the passenger side of the radiator, a few inches below the fill cap.
