Stainless or Coated Headers?
Ok, I'm finally going to order my headers But I can't decided on whether i want Coated Pacesetter LT's (which are proven a decent header) or if want to take a chance and go with the XS Stainless Headers everyone has been talking about. What are some pro's and con's for stainless vs. coated? I know the XS headers are starting to become an annoying topic, but I need help deciding. Thanx for your help

well you're going to pay a bit more for stainless, but they'll also last a lot longer. they won't crack nearly as easily and they stay clean and shiney for longer. i had slp ss longtubes and i loved everything about them except for the reduced ground clearance. when i buy my next set for my new car i'll def. go stainless.

I have heard that stainless headers will greatly heat up ur engine compartment, and that's pretty much the only thing I'm worried about going with the XS headers, that and trying to figure out what Y pipe fits

I was in this same situation about two weeks ago. I decided to get pacesetters and Tsp ory. When i did the math the xs stainless headers were going to cost more than i was willing to spend. Its all about how much money u have. If you have the money go stainless, but if your on a budget like me go coated.
