Default NEW PICS! Whistler Headlights and 315 Rear View (56k Die)

I sanded the shiny plastic inside the headlights with 180 grit I think. I then went over it with a 00 steel wool. I painted with black Krylon Plastic paint and put 2 clearcoats of Krylon Triple Clear Glass Finish Paint. The clearcoat really makes it pop. The paint was shiny but the clearcoat was wet looking. I sealed them with windshield flowing sealant. This stuff actually flows into the cracks. This was soo easy. I baked at 250 degress for 20 minutes and they popped right off. I wouldn't do the flat finish. It makes the headlight look old to me. The shine is brilliant.

I have other posts with my tires in them. They are wider now since I dropped the psi down to 30. Sumitomo HTR. They are excellent for a stock or mildly stock car on the street. My smaller BFG KDW 275's hooked up better at the track. I roasted the Sumitomo's but they were resistant to bite. At $107 for a 315 you can't complain. They are kinda noisy though.

Those look great! Good idea with the clearcoat. Your job is what I personally call "half-whistler". Normal whistlers are painted black on the ripply inside walls too.

*edit: you should get some smoked DRL's to compliment your new whistlers

I didn't wanna do the ripply stuff because to me it's in the way of the projection and I don't wanna take the risk of losing light for paint. Also, I think this looks cleaner. Just my 2 cents

Also, the rear pic has 1/8" spacers on them. Yes in a deep dip they still rub.

try a non acidic wheel cleaner (turtle wax F21 for example) that should cut alot of that grime off of there. if that doesnt work diluted simple green should get it, just use that when you go to the carwash each time.

You need to "de-haze" those lenses too. Had to look twice to notice the "Whistler".

All the SLP ones are pushed flush to the bumper. Mine aren't shiny or made to be shiny. They are rough and are pushed inward a bit. Factory installed. I tried to clean them before but no luck. What to use on my headlights?

I got it at Pep Boys next to the RTV. It does the same thing has the RTV but this gel that it's made of will flow into the headlight seams to make a perfect fit that's water tight. I blasted mine with water and no fogging has occured yet.
