Default Knock sensor...unplugging same as disabling in PCM?

Guys,

Would physically unplugging the knock sensor harness provide the same affect as disabling them through/via the PCM ?....In other words, how would the PCM respond (throw more DTCs?) by unplugging vs disabling?

Guess not since no one is responding....I'll leave them plugged in.

Unplugging them will set the DTC and put you into either the low-octane table or something, I can't remember what exactly, but it pulls *** loads of timing.

On my GTO, if a knock sensor isn't plugged in it automatically reads 2.9* knock retard.

As thunder says. It will default to the low octane table.
