Drag Radial + Snow = Bad
So I was driving out of town and it was just a winter mix the typical snow/water but mostly water...So I'm behind a truck doing about 55 mph..I move to the left to pass him and I hit a patch of snow and I lost it I mean seriously I was going sideways at 55..I wasn't even accelerating or anything...Thank God I'd watched tokyo drift or I woulda died....Soooo if you are going to go driving and a snow storm hits...You're pretty much F*cked...

I would not even attempt to run a drag tire of any sort in the snow. They are meant for one thing...dry pavement. Good job on saving it. Your honda idea is not a bad idea, but you could also just change to a more winter friendly tire and get around that way. There are alot of good performance tires out there that can handle a wee bit o snow and ice. My Pirelli's are a good one for example...all season rated.

I get around just fine in the winter time in my beater V6 camaro. At least I am not embarrassed driving a honda. Tires make all the difference in winter time road conditions. This will be my 9th winter driving my V6 in the winter...never any problems.
