I know a guy who HAD one that looked just like that. He goes by the name "FASTERTHANYOU" on the board at kyhorsepower. Not sure if he still has it, but I know he wasn't using it for a while.

It might look cool, but you wont gain anything. If your doing it for performance Just get a decent lid and the FTRA or SSRA IMO

Discontinued??? Man that sucks. I got mine and my raptor hood this past January. I personally like it alot. It also has foam that they don't show on the hood side that seals the inlet with the airbox pretty air tight. Can't say I saw any "ramair" perfomance difference but I think the box offers the best short distance air tight intake we could get on our cars. It also looks pretty cool also!

i had that set up on my trans am. Worked pretty good i thought! Keeping it now in case i go back to stock later however. Its a BIG box tho, draws a lot of attention to it in the engine bay which can be good or bad i guess, i didnt like how the color of the air filter never matched anything, haha.

I had that setup on my bird, along with the raptor hood. It was a great CAI setup, the shortest out there iirc. It helped me pull 344 rwhp with shorties

If it's discontinued, how about the Raptor hood? What are you supposed to use with that now??

I have one if anyone wants it. IMHO though, it isn't worth anything over a lid and is likely more restrictive. If you look inside the top portion of the ram air to the bottom half after removing the filter, there is a huge relief in the lower box for where it bolts to the LT1 Radiator shroud for the two large ribs sticking up. The transition from the MAF opening is a 45 degree angle, and has about a 1.5" tall by 14" long opening to breath. 8 years ago this airbox was great, there is better out there now. I went from the Moroso, to this, to Volant, to Lid. Lid is the way to go if you have an LS1.

On a side note, Suncoast is STILL using my car on their website for the Z style hood, 4 years after my 3rd hood warped and I threw it in the trash when they wouldn't honor my warranty. I was probably there first customer to buy there camaro hood, got them in magazines and hyped the **** out of them. Since Phil sold the Company the only thing I'd promote for them is a big FU. BTW, my anger at them has no bearing on what i said about the airbox.
