Yeah, very interesting read. I love GMHTP, but I have already lost this issue. I have searched everywhere for it, but nothing.

Anyways, a very good article for sure. The way they made room for the dry oiling system was pretty cleaver, I thought.

wow that really shows the advantages of having a vette over an f-body. c6 z06s trap 125+ mph and an f-body traps 115 with headers? hmmmmm

The LS7 swap into the Solstice by Hot Rod magazine was pretty interesting . If you check the numbers , that car is scary fast and brutal!

I cant understand why the Camaro posted such weak trap speeds even on the fastest runs with slicks.

I didn't read the link here, but I read the article in the magazine a few times. If I remember right, they were pushing basically a stock T-56 and it was having some real problems.

betwen weight and gearing. they were running 4.56s and said in the article that on the last run he went through the traps on the limiter. So that probably limited their trap by a little. other than that, the fbody weighs 400-500 more lbs...with shittier aero.

I was in a Chevy/Pontiac dealer looking at a different car and I looked at one of those. I told them its ok but I would want Hot Rod to do some work to it. They looked at me like I was an idiot then I had to explain it to them. They still gave me that look. Oh well.

Did you read the article?

Kinda hard to run fast when you have to shift to neutral between pretty much every gear.
