i have a v-9 head unit that i'd let go for cheaper than that. it needs to rebuilt at vortech but its all good.

a v-9 head unit depending where you buy it goes from 1700-1900 new.

I'd take the cash. I think you'll have way more invested in piecing the deal together than you'll be happy with.

Unless you want to get it custom fabbed up, you'll need to get the mounting brackets, piping, aftercooler, injectors, fuel pump, balancer/pulley, and 1000 other little things that will nickle and dime you.

Then once you get the V9 G-Trim on there, you're eventually going to want more power. Now you need to get a T-Trim, new brackets, and a few other items that will set you back quite a bit more.

I am happy with my car, but i'm still going to put on the T-trim. My G-Trim is maxed out at 7.5lbs with a 2.65 pulley.

If I were to do a supercharger from scratch, i'd go with an ATI D1SC from EPP. Later on if you want to upgrade from there, you can go with an F1_ and mount it to the same brackets.

yeah...i dont want to...nor can i afford to buy a brand new kit...i figured maybe since this will be "free" on a trade so im not actually dishing out any cash it would be somewhat affordable...but ofcoarse as always w/ forced induction its not haha...oh well i will just get the cash and do a cam swap instead

honestly all you'll need is the crank pulley, you can run 5-6 psi without an intercooler going straight to the throttle body. You'll need the bracket and tensioner assy.

you'll need 36 lb injectors and a better fuel pump. if i stop by this shop I should have the t rex pump that came with the kit that i'd let go for cheap to you.

this simple setup should give you 100 hp.

see thats what i was thinking....if i just run an elbow to the intake...no aftercooler...and just get a bracket and a pulley and run like 6 psi...it will still be beastly and should only cost me around a 1000? maybe less....thats what i was hoping...if not ill just go w/ the cam

I could probabaly hook you up with the injectors off of my car once I switch to the bigger stuff.

Sorry for sounding negative at first. I was just thinking if you bought everything new from Vortech it wouln't be worth it.

yeah...the thing is i dunno if it will be 1000 bucks...thats what i was wondering from you guys...hoped maybe somebody on her has peiced a kit together...im not trying to do a aftercooler right away...i just wanna get the kit on the car at first maybe 5 psi...and as money comes in i can build it up...i just wanna know what it would cost realistically to get it on the car at first...and if you guys think the supercharger head unit is worth the trade..or the cash...thanks for all the help and opinions

you need the bracket to mount it if it doesn't come with it already, the tensioner assy which should come with the blower and the balancer on the bottom. you can fab up your own piping. It should be right on budget. you'll need some clamps and maybe some silicon tubing. should be all thats needed. if you want to cool the charge down and boost more you can add a meth kit.

i'll see if i can pick up the trex pump if you're interested in it.

Once I get the G-Trim off I may be willing to part with the mounting bracket. I'll be pulling the 38lb injectors as well.
