not sure what next? 6.0 4l60e
Hello,
questions for the minds.
I just started my engine for the first time tonight, does not run correct, won't idle.
First let me tell you about it 6.0 truck engine 4l60e, the guy who programmed the computer said he needed to use a 5.3 program to work the trans, i am not to sure so i said go ahead i just want it to run for now and i will worry about h.p and torque later.
So i started it tonight and it wont idle, if i hold the throttle 1/8 open it will run and pop a little (through exhaust) surge a little too.
the code i got is a p1336 which say it needs to learn the crank pos again,
I thought the pcm would do that by itself.
any helpm would be greatly appreciated.
thanks Eric

The PCM won't learn crank position on its own, you need a Tech2 or like tool to relearn crank. And with a 5.3 Cal. in a 6.0 application, it is probably running very lean.

thanks wait4 me.
I still need to know which software is more user friendly.
can it be used as a scanner.
What are the limitations of the software?
Can it be used on more than one pcm?
Does efilive have lists of tunes or bins in a directory somewhere that users can try when they buy the program?

Yes, you can try out tunes before and after you buy. We have a free trial version that you can physically look at the tunes and software if you would like. WWW.EFILive.com is the website to go to to look.
Yes, it is a top of the line Scanner system for our cars.
Limitations of the software? I dont know of any? I use thier software every day all day and it is always exactly what i need to get my job done.
User freindly and good customer support thru the forums always comes with the software.
