Default What happened? 4l60e Ka-Boom!

Back in april of 06 I bought a "Stage II Race Transmission" from Speed Inc. This trans was supposed to be able to handle up to 600 HP.... Yeah, Right. I'm running a nearly stock 00 T/A with mods in sig.

I took the out to a back country road to have a little fun w/ my G-tech. I put the car in 1st, Stalled up and launched. The car was off to a great start with no sign of problems. Went all the way through 1st, shifted into 2nd and the car shifted as hard as usual, but only stayed in 2nd for about a half second, then shifted into 3rd bogging the motor way down. I stopped and put the car into drive. When I pushed the accelerator, the car moved, but not like it should like it was in too high of a gear. Now I have no reverse and no neutral. When I put that car into neutral, it actually drives, but in third gear only. I put the car in Drive and it feels like I'm in 4th. 1,2, and 3 are useless. I know i'm going to have to take it into a shop but does anybody have any idea what went wrong?

Well normally i would say its in limp mode with starting in a high gear but since it moves in neutral i would say the 3-4 clutch fried and fused causing it to always be engaged april of 06 is it not still under warranty with them?

Called Speed Inc. They were little to no help. I explained everything to them, and all I got out of them was that the trans only carries a 6 month warranty, but if i would like they could charge me to pull the trans and then charge some more to tell me what's wrong with it. now that's customer service! Unfortunately, I can't find my paperwork, but I could swear that they told me the trans had a 12 month warranty when I bought it.

Just so the moderators know... I'm not bashing Speed Inc. I am just sharing about my experience.
