should I get it?
my friend wants to sell me his cam that he had in his 402 vett. I'm not sure on how it will work in my car seems how its just a stock motor with most boltons. he says it should work fine and make good power. here is what it is. 236/236 .585 .585 @ 112lsa
Can anyone tell me if you have ran a cam like this and what kind of setup you had. And maybe some HP/Tq #'s I will be close to.
I but down 321rwhp and 331rwtq with intake, free mods, headers, catback, 410's

he wants $250 for it. less than a 1000K on it. he drove the car from Tx. to Az. and back to Tx for a different cam. I want to make good power and I want it to sound good but still be able to drive it on the street. It's not a daily driver so it's ok if it's a little wild.

Yeah, you probably will lose a bit low end. Its not very high in terms of lift. I bet its on some lazy lobes. For the extra hundred bucks, id go get a proven performer. Some snappier lobes and a little bit of split will help liven it up down low. Its not like hes making you an offer you cant refuse.

thanks for the pointers guys. This is going to bed my first cam. I'm still trying to learn what all these numbers translate into as far as how the motor is going to preform. sounds like it should be a pretty good cam. I want to leave a little room to upgrade went I get used to this power I can get the fast feeling all over again! I don't mind a little low end loss. No one races from a dig around here anyway.
