I want to know what you have spent on all your gauges, Wideband, and data logging software.

I also want to see some unique gauge set ups other than the A-pillar.

I have a 3-gauge pillar with autometer cobalt series fuel pressure and boost gauges in the top 2 holes. I opened up the bottom hole a bit more to fit the 60mm version of a TurboSmart E-boost2.

The cobalt series gauges were around $200 a piece and the E-boost2 was around $450. So, with pillar, my total was probably around $900.

In my case, the boost gauge isn't necessary since the E-boost2 can act as one, but it was left over from when my car had a blower under the hood. Now i just use it to see the pressure difference between before and after the intercoolers while tuning.

Although I admit I like X-RACER's better, mine are probably more funtional. I used Ultralite gauges; boost, trans temp and exhaust temp. I built my car as a sleeper. You can walk all around it and it looks stock, actually like a V-6 since the Formula stickers seem to have fallen off (hehe). Thus the location.
As far as cost, I don't remember for the gauges. I have LT1Edit for PCM editing, Autotap with lots of extended parameters for datalogging, and an LM1 for WOT testing. Probably around 1.8k for everything.

With my boost gauge,pod, HP tuners, laptop(had to buy one to use HP tuners) and LC-1 wideband i would say about $1000 +/-

Dynotune guages are boost guage, left wideband, and right wideband. Below is the Apexi AVC-R Boost controller. In the top corner of the windshield where my oil change sticker would go, I have my fuel pressure guage. All dynotune square guages. The widebands are LC-1's. They've been working good so far. Almost got it setup so I can run my hptuners through the the Kenwood in-dash DVD player.

Hp tuners enhanced EIO version I think around the $600.00 range but don't quote me.

For a boost gauge you dont need a electrical unless you want to log it in EFI or HPT, a fuel gauge MUST be electric, if you dont mind a third pod then use a wideband gauge such as the xd16 or AEM.

not necessarily... Autometer makes a high pressure isolator for putting a mechanical fuel pressure gauge inside the car without running fuel into the car. It's part #5282.

The routing of wires vs a line is much easier. The cost difference between a line and supplied wire is pretty substantial.

I agree... And that's why I'm using an electric gauge. But it is possible to run a mechanical without worry of fuel in the car.

the dakota digital is about $150 with the sending unit. (-30 vac to 30psi)

norskog is about $100 with sender ( i want the dakota one but i need other stuff)

WB band is like $400 with LC1 and the X16 gauge

Wiring the bitch up and running the lines is more of a hassle than anything else.

I use Autometer Ultra-Lite gauges for boost and fuel pressure in a dual pod. Bought those used from this site for about $190. Use HPtuners serial version at the moment that ran about $500 but am going to upgrade to MPVI soon hopefully.

Sorry this doesn't pertain to your initial post, but does anyone know where a replacement a-pillar w/ 3 gauges (not just the kind that you just bolt on to the existing a-pillar) can be picked up?

To add a deeper question to the original topic, what is everyone's top three choices for gauges. My personal must-haves are boost, wideband a/f and fuel.

I looked. There's no such thing. I have one of the slip-over 3-gauge pillar pods.

You could probably make one with some plastic welding skills, but I wasn't about to attempt that. I believe that's what Harlan did to build his pillar.

I think the autometer slips over is a nice looking unit, fits close, good quality, the only problem is where the pod just has a opening that is slightly bigger then the window vents. It doesnt look perfect, but its nice.
