Default humount arrived :)

hey my humount just got delivered. I got the blue illumination and was just wondering what wire i could hook it up to. I was thinking possibly the dimmer wire from the wire harness since that feature sucks anyway but im not sure if that is a constant 12V source. any suggestions?

pardon my ignorance lol but what is that and will it make it light up with the headlights or whenever the radio is on. i think lighting up with the rest of the interior lighting would be a better choice

Yes, mine is wired with the illumination. When the lights are off it is off. When they are on the humount is on. Looks sick!

What does your say?

I wired mine to the "dimmer" wire that goes into the radio, it's enough power and is the one that tells the radio to dim down.......

Works like a charm

Same here... mine was easy to find too since my aftermarket wiring harness wires were labeled to start with

The only problem I had was that since the deck mounts into the dash deeper, the RCA cables were hitting the back of the dash. Screwed around with it some and I eventually got it. Note to all planning on buying a Humount. Get yourself some RCA cables (like Audison) that have a 90 degree end on them. Saves one huge PITA (especially with Alpine decks).
