Sneek peek at turbo headers for Chevelle...Pics
Heres what I been doing this week. Dont look like much, but with putting the body on, and mocking everything up. Thinking what would work best. This is the best I can come up with. What you think??

Thanks guys! I will be TIG welding the headers. Right now they are just tacked in place.
The mounting plates are from Street & Performance. The Bellhousing is from McLeod. They make a kit to mount the Viper M6 to a LS1 without any modifcations to the trans. The oil pan is a custom made pan from Canton. Holds 6.5 qts. in hte pan, and has a remote filter.
The valve covers are from Speed Inc.

Yes, the plugs and wires are on. The # 3 & 4 plug will be a b!tch to get at, but I can get a socket on it. I tried my best to design the headers with everything in mind. Not too easy of a task. But after you figure it out, it isnt too hard to build the headers themself.

Building a set of turbo headers was the hardest part of my turbo build. I must have tried four or five different setups before getting it right. As it turned out, the answer was right under my nose. I was twin turbo'ing a SBC, and I was staring at a set of stock Corvette LT1 headers when I realized they could simply be flipped over. . They even came with heat shields.

The only hard thing will be keeping the coating on the headers.

321 is very expensive. I have had very good results with much cheaper 304 stainless. I'm surprised that they did not reccomend you use it...

Thanks for the comments guys! More pics to come next week. The headers are being tig up now with the collectors on. I still have alot of fabbing to do, (turbo flanges,WG, DP, etc...) and will keep posting pics until the setup is done.
