They are just jealous that you will be able to outrun them AND get better fuel mileage while doing it.

it is a Ferd you can only improve the damn thing.

true story....

My neighbor (older guy) pulls up in front of his house with a '55 Ford P/U. Me and the wife had been out front on the porch having a coupla drinks. I had gone in to get a refill when the neighbor pulls up. I hear my wife talking to somebody, the neighbor had walked over to show off proud as hell, my wife goes what is that? a Ford? then get this she belts out I bet it's got a small block CHEVY under the hood right? and then, she says that's the ONLY thing that can make thoes thing worth a ****. I hear the whole thing and start laughing so hard I'm crying. I raised her well. All this coming from a woman who owned a Toyota when I met her.

I couldn't be prouder.

Greetings from FEP. I'm one of the regulars there and here.

I applaud your project. Not all of us see blasphemy in your coversion.
Just leave it looking like the "Four-Eye" it is. Its much more sleeperish being an older Mustang with (relatively) affordable horsepower.

BTW, even though I'm a Ford guy at heart, your Mali kicks ***.

funny thing is i plan to keep it as close to stock as possible(mainly so i dont spent more $$$ i could be using elsewhere). the bumper it messed up, and i like the 86 4eye'd bumper better, so why not change it? i already picked up a set of pony wheels, its gonna have a super quiet exhaust, all i really need inside is a shift light and basic gauges which i may hide in the glovebox, got a set of 87up LX tail lights, and thats about it for exterior mods.

like the one guy said, its not like im taking a super rare turbo coupe or T-top car and doing this, i bought the car for $500 lol. only reason i even posted it on there is to build up my post-count so i can post in the classifieds section - i figure someone could use the motor and trans when i pull it for a resto since its really really clean. so in theory im helping them!!! oh well...

nice malibu!!! and your project sounds lke a cool *** sleeper for sure.

on a side note...i find it funny how the guys on here laugh at how the ford fanatics get all pissy about swapping a gm motor into a ford vehicle, but check out the responses when someone swaps a ford motor into a gm chassis...all the gm guys get their panties in a bunch. that being said, im a gm guy. always have been, always will be (with a few MINOR exceptions), but i do admire nice vehicles of all makes and models. especially when time, effort and hard earned dollars are invested. my $.02.

if you want to see what im talking about, heres the link to the thread i found earlier...
