Default Master cylinders with Textralia...whats the difference?

I heard Textralia recommends the stock master with their clutches. I bought a RAM adjustable unit and I'm wondering why I cant use it?

Can't I set the rod to the same length as stock if I need to? It's made from a GM unit anyway so everything else should be the same. I want to change out the master and slave cylinder anyway and I dont think it can hurt to have an adj master in the car.

Any opinions?

I already have an adjustable...and I do have a stock one too. But I'm wondering...if the Adj unit is made from a stock one...then why cant it be used and the rod length just set the same as a stock one? Thats the only difference I can see between them.

Anyone that deals in Textralias care to chime in on it?

(Search function is your friend)

Per Textralia...

We do not recommend a McLeod or any other adj. M/C for use with our unit. It can cause overtravel, and damage to our clutch by overextending the diaphragm spring on the clutch. It can also cause the clutch to “stick” as the spring goes inverted.

thanks dj...i searched...but anyway...

i dont see how that makes any sense since the only difference between the stock and RAM master is the adjustment heim on the end of the shaft.

i dont understand how can it can overtravel if the length is set the same as stock...unless its set up wrong.

ok, end of topic. thanks
