what size tire could i run on a 18x10.5 rim without doing this mod.
big f'in hammer? what would i need to hammer?

i heard you want to "massage" the fender well at around 9 o'clock if you are looking at it dead on. i just got 18x10.5 wheels put on the back with a 295/35/18 and it clears everything, with no modification

All depends on the offset . . . I have a 295/35ZR18 on my 10.5" wheels and no inner wheel well massaging . . .

they are a 54mm offset will that work

With a 295 series tire, most likely you will be fine. If anything just a tiny bit where the tire rubs, if at all. My old 58 mm offset, which tucks the wheels inwards 4 mm compared to what you were buying needed only a small amount of BFH.
