Default Too much Cam??

I was thinking of buying this cam<236/238 601/605 113>. I like the idea of a big cam and would like to see a big power gain.
My current setup is: Silverado SS with a Vortech S/C 11Lbs, long tubes, and 2600 stall (listing just the important stuff). I plan on doing heads and intake swap in the future.
Is this cam too big? If so why?

Is it too big for what? Daily driving or track ride? I dont think its too big, Gonna need good dual springs with that high lift.

^^^^ What he said i would go with like a 112 or 111 LSA BTW. Also dont forget new oil pump, Pushrods, Valve springs, timing chain. All this stuff is best to do when you do a cam swap and it being a big cam the stuff is needed.

Might be a little big with a heavy Silverado and only a 2600 stall. Might be a little sluggish down low. Maybe the ever-popular 224/228 .581/.588 114 Cam would work better. I'm sure other will chime in.

Better choices for a s/c application out there

Thanks for the quick responces.
I use this truck for daily driving(hopefully not for long) and at the track. So, What if I had a higher stall? I would get better springs. I used hardened pushrods(7.4") on the last cam install. Also installed new timing chain at that time.

IMO, you should be happy with a stock cam.. with a blower there are other things you should work on. heads would be a good one... higher stall also. start saving up for a forged bottom end so you can crank up the boost

With the vortech if you really want to do a cam go for a SC specific grind.
