It's wired in a 98 pass compartment harness under the dash, Two wires go to the engine compartment and their is a ground and a ign power wire. What the HE double hockey sticks is this? The cricuit board goes inside the box and makes contact with the harness wires.

Ok, then is this found on all 98-02 f bodys? I was under the assumption that vats was controlled through the BCM and then relayed an all clear signal to the pcm. Are 98's different in this aspect? When I look up the BCM in parts it lists the same number for all years 98-02. If this is part of VATS what the heck is it actually for? I cant trace the wiring as I don't have the underhood harness?
