Oh LS1/LT1, where are thou?
Month 3 Progress:
I found some of the ugliest LT1 cars my town has to offer, complete crappy condition for 6k, and their autos.
There was a 98' Auto LS1 for 9k with like 72k miles, it was pretty clean inside and out and ran decently aside from a slight miss.
I didn't jump on that car, because I didn't want an automatic.
I am looking around places other than my state and I am finding some kickass deals, but oh...why must I travel 500+ to get my dream car.
I am seriously thinking that if I find a cheap low mileage LT1/6spd for under 6k, I am going to jump on it like a freakin' tiger.
Even though, deep down I want an LS1

wait it out man....you will find the right one. and if you truly want a LS1 6spd, your going to eventually regret it down the road if you buy anything else. even if you got a great deal on the one you bought, trust me. you may have to travel a little to get what you want, but you will thank yourself later.

check out this site's classifieds. That way you can always get in touch with the member after you bought the car, review his posts about the car, dig up dirt on it, and know that since he is a member of this site the chances are that he was "in love" with the car and took good care of it.

Just to shoot out in the dark here, how many of you guys think that the 4th gen LS1 Zs will get cheaper once the new Camaro comes out?
And in my eyes, I prefer the powerhouse of LS1, but the LT1s are just as fun.
It's like pizza, it's good either way.

I waited a while to find the perfect LS1 for me, I looked local and nothing. So I widened my search and went out of state, I had to go about 4 hours one way to get it, but it was worth it and the drive home was a blast. It wound up being cheaper up in CT then Jersey so that was also a plus. Just keep looking and widen your search, something will pop up
