my current motor is completely stock and runs, if i wanted to rebuild it would all i need is forged pistons rings and new rods? or do i need to get the block honed? i ask cause i rather rebuild it before she goes boom.

depends on what you really want to do. i would upgrade to a better piston say mahle/diamond or je, same with ring set total seal/mahle/ etc. etc. connecting rods compustar/eagle or new rod bolts in yours. the block well likely be honed or bored, depending on piston selection. component selection and budget will determine your build fund.

Rod and main bearings, forged pistons, rings, forged rods, katech rod bolts, cylinder hone, polish stock crank. All new gaskets too.

GM head/cam gasket package 150
Scat rods with arp bolts 500
Diamond –2cc pistons 565
Rings- 180
Rod and main bearings- 160

All you need after this is a cylinder hone and crank polish.
