Default Got a new car today, S14 now i need to find a LS1

picked up a 1997 240sx se for $1400 today with a blown headgasket.
i'm pretty excited just gotta start shopping for a good deal on a LS1/T56. (chicago area) if anyone has anything good. The best part is it only has 78K miles on it.

It's an auto so i have figure out how i'm going to do the clutch swap. what have some of you guys done? dunno if i should go all custom wilwood, or swap all the 240 stuff into it. or whats all involved there
Fuel system? do i just need to upgrade the fuel pump to a walbro? what fuel filter do you usually go with? (vette, stock 240(does it flow enough) ? do i need a regulator?

sorry it's dirty. thats not clear coat fade or peel the paint is very good.

PICS:

Looks good. My head gasket is on its way out also. Guess it's one of the first things to go on a 240. "datboibrad" is pretty knowledgeable bout the swap. I'm in the process of getting all the materials made so I can do the swap asap. I'll post as much info as I can so it can basically be a bolt on process

just a side? i'll get some more pics when i pull the motor and clean it up a bit. ha ya thats snow. i live in the midwest. I'm planning to do most of the fabbing myself. engine mounts, subframe, and tranny mount. not sure what to do with wiring. how hard is it? is it worth it to send it to hinson for $425?

You will not need anything but the pedal assembly - Look in this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/618967-more-240sx-clutch-master-questions.html
It will give you everything you need to know about the Clutch MC!

That's a steal for $1400. Good luck with your project. I'm pretty sure it will consume your life. LOL

lol now you sound alot like me. 12 hours of class and 30-40 hours a week at work. and my plan is to have it just about done by atleast spring break. but im slighty ahead of you.

wiring is a joke IMO if you understand basic principles and what the nissan F3 plug really does for you.

Wiring is Cake. I spent more time wiring in my RB25DET to get it running. Of course, you can spend more time hooking up the optional wires but its so easy its ridiculous.

I had to pop Brad over the head a couple of times to make him think harder lol. Dur Dur
