Default Yes one more cam question

I know there is a cam guide but I don't know much about engines so it does not help me. I was thinking of changing my cam and wanted some help. If I change out the current cam I have will I gain more power/Tq? anything else I should change to get my power? My mods are in my signature line. I was told to do a 383 stroker but how much would that cost. My budget is limited so it may be to much for me. Can someone help? Thank you!!!!

What intake are you running? 90/90 unless your there already, you dont say what your driving. lsx? You have a decent size cam in there now but you can always go bigger. You might lose a little torque by going bigger but you'll gain HP. a 383 will cost you around 3500-4300 depending on who builds it but then you might as well go 402 or 408 for 4500.

Sorry! It's a 2004 CTS-V with the LS6. I have the stock intake on it. I have ported heads and was told they flow at 325. Does that info help?

Yep. a 90mm intake will help out(unless those have a 90 from the factory?). You could step up to a higher lift cam but then you might need to flycut your pistons. If you dont mind doing that you can go higher lift. Like my cam for example. Its a 234/240 112 lsa .637 .640 Your heads flow so it would be a good combo I would think but certainly not the only choice in cams to be made. Contact a sponsor and haver them spec out a custom cam for you. PatrickG does it for $25 on here as well and has a deal with Thunder Racing to grind it for a discount.
