Do I need a front gasket kit? I have a 98 WS6 and I'm about ready to do a heads, cam, intake and exhaust swap. Will I need to get a front gasket kit for the timing chain cover, water pump etc?

As Brad said, typically they sell them as one big kit...might have other gaskets in it that you don't necessarily need, but you'll have them if you need them.

if you are truely on a budget and money is tight, no you dont need it. but if you have a hundred or so bucks laying around, its worth it not to have to do it twice.

My car has 21k on it and I just did the H/C swap you see in my sig. Gaskets were a must. My car is an 02.

Get the gaskets better safe then sorry in my book. You would kick yourself if you got done started the car and it leaked out the timing cover or the water pump leaked, you would be making a lot more work for yourself. Do it right the first time!!

i have the head gaskets and head bolts - i have not on the other hand gotten the intake gaskets I do not believe. will that be in the cam gasket kit or something? Just a lil confused on it all

i would HIGHLY suggest removing the whole motor/trans out the bottom of the car. i did it when i did my swap (went from completely stock to a cam/bolton/stall setup) it makes it so much easier and you are less likely to break off a headbolt, which numerous people have done. its not that much extra work... you already ahve to disconnect pretty much everything from the motor. just pull the motor with the wiring harness, complete exhaust and then do your head/cam swap and everything else.
