Hot Rod Power Tour/ Pump Gas Drags/ Drag Week - PGD 07 Invitee List

OK, the moment you've all been waiting for....

But first, a disclaimer. There will be many familiar and popular names that you won't find on this list. We had so many repeat applicants and so many other good new cars also apply that we made the decision not to invite any racers who qualified and raced in 2006 (though we did include a few guys that broke before qualifying last year). That left out a lot of heros, and none of them should take it personally. Our choice was to spead the wealth and get in some fresh blood.

Also, this list only has 72 cars, though we promised 75. We are waiting for a few answers from some people to fill in those last three slots. But we'll be out of town until the middle of next week and wanted to get as many invitations out there as we could.

Yeah I talked to John about it he said they entered it a while ago, we'll see how hard she can go on the pump, you know they arent scared to put a hurtin on it, they have fat bankroll insurance! :)

It should be good times down in memphis, a regular Glen Burnie reunion with John and TJ up there :)

My son, CJ Perry made it in his 1996 Trans AM Vert.......Hopefully he will dip into the 9.4's range in his 3500lbs street car as long as it stays off the bumper..!!! He post by Sprayin96TA on here and on www.hotrod.com.....cant wait to see all the old school cars there........

I know a couple mopar guys on the list, might make the trip in my TA to spectate, wish I was fast lol! I'm not giving away inside info, but the charger is in the 8s :) It weighs over 3900lbs!

cant wait to head up there.......Hopefully I can be somewhat competive to all yall guys.....We are going to do some testing on stright 93 pump gas on the spray in the next couple of weeks....Hopefully we can run some 9.5's or faster and weighin a 3500lbs+......cant wait!!

What time do the gates open?? We are driving from NC so we are leaving Wed. night and going stright to the track Thursday.....Probally just get there and hang out and cook out.......we shall see...

Gates open at 5pm. If you get in town early come by our shop www.xtremeauto.net its about 15 min from the track and we can drive to the track together. Mine is just a 404 ls2 with low low compression.

My dad made it in! Were MD boys also Bill Keys "Huntingtown" forgot the w. hes got a 396SBC Carb'd Blown and Juiced! Got a vortech with like 8psi and up to 300 shot of the juce but will not spray more than 200 most likely. Have to get this bitch to budds soon and get the suspension right .. hope to run low 9's not an 8 or a 7 sec car but i hope we qualify..

my truck has 135,000 miles on it...I have been planning on buying a F350 for a while...I found a damn steal on it......so me and my girlfriend are flying to Nashville this weekend to get it......I had no doubt that the truck would make it....I have never had any problems before.....Its just we have to go through the mountains of NC......Black mountain is a little ruff for a gas truck..........I was worried about going up, hell I am really worried about going down......lol

There are no 7.90 cars, yet :) Guys have said they have done it last year, but 8.48 is the mark to beat so far

HR looks for a good variety of "purpose built" cars on the edge of street car status alot fo them fall, to the car you might actually find out at the local cruise scene
