Default anyone run a Car PC or Pioneer AVIC-Z1?

At about the same price, I am trying to choose between a Car PC or Pioneer AVIC setup. I want to run Navigation, backup camera, and DVD for our Hummer H2. The Pioneer setup has alot of features with a hard drive, but not able to customize much. The PC with touchscreen is running iGuidance Nav on Windows XP that's great for flexibility, but I wonder how well the audio performs. Does anyone have experience with either setup?

Car PC

AVIC-Z1

I am building one using this case but I should have gone the route of a built unit rather than build myself. I need help setting it up. I say CarPC is the way to go...

I think the CarPC is better as it can be used for more things. I may even do one in the boat down the road...or is that 'down the water'...?

No I've just had some offers from some audio companies to do shows, but if I was going to put any I.C.E. in the car I'd wanna use a Mac Mini. (which would run windows if I wanted to and HP Tuners with BootCamp installed )

Must be a different spec, because my quote was around 2K. Kinda like you can get a new Dell for 299, but most people don't want that one? This one is loaded maybe. Well, here's the menu that would run on the touch screen. Sounds like this is the way to go!

That's really cool Chris. Can you put a tuner program in there under apps? That would be sweet; great, a new area to spend $$.
