Heads/Cam and never broke anything POLL
Just curious how many folks out there are running a heads/cam LS1 or LS6 and havent EVER broken anything on their valve train as a result of the extra strain. So if you have NEVER broken a spring, timing chain, thrown a rod, bent a valve, slapped a piston etc vote NEVER

Never
Proper installation and break-in, good tuning and fuel, adequate warm up, routine maintainence etc have all kept me in the dry.

I had a spring break, twice. Nothing can prevent that. I merely started my car up, then pulled out of my driveway, and made it ~ 50 feet from my driveway and clackety clack.... here we come AAA

Revved to 7000rpms hundreds of times, including launches.
987 springs, 8000 miles or so on the heads/cam package so far.
Car still has many more miles in front of it.

Re: Heads/Cam and never broke anything POLL
I spun a rod bearing on my engine after some 7100 rpm shifts with the h/c. However the bottom end was completely stock and had 70K miles on it. Right before that I had borke 3 teeth in the ring gears on my 4.10's in the stock 10 bolt.

3,000 miles and 317 track passes and the thing still purrrred like a kitten.
