Reminds me of Wile E. Coyote in the rocket sled from the old Road Runner cartoons!

that thing is sweet. its pretty light as well. i wonder what sticky tires and a 150 shot would do in the 1/4 mile.

Looks like fun. What mods to the motor and what size tires are you running out back?

That driveshaft must be super short!

Have you weighed the completed conversion full with fuel?

Yes, we are located in jacksonville.

the motor is all stock 98. it has 195/50/15's out back
driveshafts not that short, but it is short.
we're trying to find someone in town with corner weights so we can get front/rear weights as well. but we're hoping for it to weigh in around 2500lbs.

the 195's actually surprised the hell out of me......you can roll into first, 2nd you can almost floor it, 3rd gear holds wide open throttle. cruise at 55 in 6th at 1500rpms.
I was expecting the 195's to be blown away in the first 3rd gears.

What are the widest tires you can put on those Miatas? I would love to do that conversion but theres no way I could wait till 3rd gear to go WOT every time. I'd go through tires a few times a month in that thing.
