turbo on pre 87 motor i really didnt know what section to post in to ill do it here.
building a 377 turbo motor. compression ratio will be around 8.5 to 9.0. wanting to keep the motor carbed. who makes a good blowthrough carb??
also if anybody knows of a site that has a build of the setup i am doing. it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

turbo i would say a T76 or a GT42R (on the T4).
if you do a search on here under carbs or something you will find a thread on someone (cant remember) that was running a similar setup in a boat. it made about 950bhp with similar torque!

Last year, I built a setup just like that. It was a Bowtie block 377, Callies crank, Oliver rods, JE pistons, 8.5/1 short block. We used ported GMPP FastBurn heads with 2.00/1.625 valves, Inconel on the exhaust. The cam was a 230/230 solid with hydraulic roller lifters (don't ask). We used a T-76GTS turbo, air/air intercooler, and a CSU 750 carb. It wound up making 930 hp and 1070 ft-lb at 18 psi. I really think it was capable of more since we had some rocker arm trouble during the dyno (figured it out later) and the cam/lifter combo couldn't be helping things.
The motor was installed on an airboat for alligator egg harvesting purposes.

I gotta say that the CSU carb was the very easiest part of the combination. We literally pulled it out of the box, then proceeded to make everywhere from 480 hp at 3.5 psi, on up to 930 hp at 18 psi with absolutely no changes. A/F ratio started at 10/1 at low boost, but leaned out to 12.7/1 at the higher boost levels. After installation on the airboat, we had to move the secondary linkage because it was having some heavy-part-throttle lean problems.
