Is it against the law to have nitrous equipment installed in on-road cars in Texas? I was just wondering if I could get a ticket or have my car taken away by the state because it has nitrous on it, example: bottle with compressed gas?

Just depends on the C O P as usual, I was recently stopped and have the bottle mounted between the two back seats. It was connected, bottle heater and all. I dont know if there is a specific law, but dont sweat it

Can anybody post up the exect law and # so I can use it in court. I have it is ok if the line is disconected but having the exact code would be perfect.

i read somewhere on here that a guy got a ticket for it. you can have the bottle but if you have any nitrous in the bottle than you can get a ticket for it

i was pulled over twice and both times my bottle( lime green nitrex -they had to see it) was hooked up between the back seats and they didn't mention it. that may have been due to the ignorance of the officers. i am interested to hear the official ruling on this.

not antmore he is not with northlake anymore and the car has been taken off off of the streets in that area!!
