Default Test drove dodge nitro r/t

Pretty nice suv...Tough looking and has alot of cool features....Just seemed alittle cheap...plastic door panels....Def a cool car but not worth 29-30k...The 20 inch wheels are nice and it rode good. It also had plenty of power...I loved the 2 tone seats...But like i said not worth 30k....but def be a good buy for 25-26k

My diesel truck gets 19 mpg average, 22 mpg highway. The new Chevy fullsize trucks are rated at 20 mpg now.

I don't know why you ever liked those dodge nitros, when I 1st saw the commercial I thought they were pretty weak. By 2010 they will be off the market guaranteed.

Yeah, Dodges are kinda ugly imo. Except the trucks are nice.

I wouldn't mind taking a test drive in one w/ a hemi just to see what kind of power it had though...

I had the chance to drive one of them today for work....by far one of the worst vehicles i've driven. Interior is cheap...and claustrophobic. I don't understand how they are worth 30k.....i know we don't pay that, but 30k is outrageous for them.

That is very typical for the Dodge diesels. Mine avgs. 20 and has gotten a best of 22. If you want fast.....big......good fuel mileage.....the absolute best platform is an 05 Cummins powered Dodge 2500 automatic. Buy a rare program called Scary Larry rated at like 280 hp and it is a proven mid 12 sec combination with only that mod. Your next mod WILL be a built $6k automatic.

My '06 Cummins 4x4 stickered for around $43K but they sell for about $10K off of that price. I paid about $36K out the door. Then I added wheels/tires

Just about all of the diesel 2500 trucks average 18-20 mpg. The 2wd diesels get another 2 mpg better than 4x4 also. That goes for Ford, Chevy, Dodge.

Why? Diesels only rev to 3K rpm. 400 hp at 3K rpm is fun, but the 800 ft-lbs torque is even better.

Smaller isn't better, some vehicles have engines that are too small to efficiently pull their weight around. You can pick up slightly used diesel trucks in the mid 20K range all day long. I'd suggest Dodge or GM, I don't care for the 6.0L Ford diesels.

Here's my truck. The worst it's ever got was 14.5mpg...all city driving with some lead-foot activity.
Cruising at 60mph it gets 19mpg.

$37.8K sticker...$28,000.77 driveout.

Here's a few pics. You can see the "shitty" interior.
