Default where are you getting your front runner tires?

I have checked this site and people seem to be getting them for $30 each, but wherever I check they are selling for $130 each or so. Where should I go and what should I look for to put on a 15x3.5 pro star?

The one's for $30 are small generic tires that are made for smaller cars. Alot of people run them so I guess that they work fine, but keep in mind that are speed rated at like 112-118. If you decide to go that route you can find them at just about any tire shop. I know Pep-Boys has them among others. Hope this helps you out!

I found a kumho 165/80r15. Does the middle number make a difference?

the middle number on a tire is the height of the sidewall (in milimeters.)

You can get Centred Multi-Mile 165R/15's if you want the ones that can inflate to 44 psi. I will warn you... they are hard to find.

Not true...it's the aspect ratio. Scroll about half-way down - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=46

Yea...like these 165/80/15s. The sidewall is 80% as tall as the tire is wide (165).

When a tire manufacturer does not give a profile number (i.e.; 165R 15) an 80 series profile is implied.

sidewall is 80% of the width of the tire...

165mm x 80% = 132mm x 2 = 264mm / 25.4" = 10.4" + 15 = 25.4" in. tire height...
