Default KBs and Whipples

I didnt know there was so many kits availible for LSX engines

I picked a dune buggy book and there where 3.3L whipples and 2.8 Kenne bells in every ad for LS1's

why hasnt anyone fabbed a kit for F-Bodys it would be extremly easy from the looks of it.. you would need a Cowl hood and a cutting disk

this has been said and said before many time, its hard to fit that kinda blower under the hood because some people dont wanna cut their hood, they just want a simple bolt on.

im also not sure that the KB's or whipples would even fit under the hood because they're bigger than the maggie or other brand thats in similar size

The KB and whipples are too big for an Fbody. They are designed to be used on LS1 sandrail/dune buggies ONLY.

It would get pretty ridiculous by the time you made it work.....lowering k member to where your motor is an inch off the ground, BIG hood, hacked cowl and probably windsheild, and then it still probably wouldn't work. I think the TB is just way too far back or something.

Whipple is a local company to me and I worked with them for a couple weeks on trying to figure out how to make it work on my car. No dice.

the 2.6ltr KB was designed for the vette. AMERICAN HP fittted the protoytype (i think) to his vette. made great power, then decided to fit the 2.8ltr prototype blower and made even more power. think the final dynos numbers where 800rwhp and over 800rw lbsft. and thats on the stock cam and on pump gas!

the whipple kit was designed for the dune guys. looks like a great bit of kit!

thanks Chris.

I'm the guy that developed the Magnuson kit for F-bodies. It is nowhere near as complicated as some people think. We have a complete kit that comes with everything you need, and we have them IN STOCK!!!

Full details can be seen here:

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions,
Ed
