Default Magnum SRT-8 Fast?

Had one playing with me on the road, we were in so much traffic we couldnt do much, he just stomped on it from a dead stop and smoked the tires for a good 20 yards or so... looked fast.... anyone know what they run? It was a silver dodge magnum srt - 8 hatchback

Nah, they're a little faster than that stock. My 2007 Charger SRT8 bone stock with around 2600 miles on it ran 13.343 @ 106.29 -- no burnout, no tire pressure changes, no nothing. Just drove to the line, stab n' go. Its got more in it too, HRP was just too SSSLLLOOOWWW that day, only got two passes

My raceweight? 4380 lbs. Yes, you read that correctly. I weigh 180lbs.

I've seen the 300C SRT-8 make it in the 12's stock. Still had Temp tags on it.

Yeah. I stayed conservative because there are people here that are VERY quick to call B.S.

Makes you wonder how the Challenger will respond! I'm hoping it'll be under 4000 pounds and have a manual transmission. Let's say this - it better if I buy it!

What's REALLY bad is the throttle curve in 1st gear. Check this out:

Raced one on the beltway in my 04 745LI, kept up w/him to 135ish, and he handed my *** to me. Definately earned my respect, I think had I been in my Z though things might had been different. Nice cars tho

New it was 89K+ttl, But I'm not quite that fortunate yet, So I got it for 47K last year certified. It has a 4.4 ltr @325 hp. Not too bad for a heavy sedan (4400) weight and still averages 25mpgs. I can easily take a new gen stang (stock) but I guess thats not saying too much either.

ok and you kept up with a srt-8? Not talking smack cause I knnow those bmws are kinda quick but nothing like that charger....Has 100 more hp than your car, prolly lighter, and a tranny thats made to race...Just doesnt add up...

We just messed around at first to about 135 +/- and after that he left me, I can't say if he were really trying too hard at first but I was, After 135 he was gone.

Mario,

I happen to be a BMW guy myself as well as a mustang guy. There is no way a 745 will beat any properly driven newer GT mustang. Not even the 750 could come close.

However, I am a lover of the 7 series and let me tell you sir have one fine automobile. Who cares what you can or can't beat you are in one of the finest cars ever made available to normal men. Lucky for you that thing is very quick for a car with that much HP.
