Question First off i don't mean to be rude or ignorant but am i the only one that views a 3rd gen F-body as a wasted investment on a car that is slow and boxy??

depending on what you have done to it or how good it's restored, you can have yourself quite an investment. as like anything, they can be made quite fast, especially with the help of large displacement motors. i have a '78 TA WS6 and I would say more people appreciate the "boxy" look rather than the later gen f-bodies. i always get waves and points/smiles and such. the girls seem to love the looks of it, as well. i've been known to talk about my '78 with people for hours on end, whether they're a real enthusiast or just someone who knows nothing but really admires it. i've never even come close to doing that with my '97. haha i remember back in high school my '78 made all my friends for me 
. a well maintained classic car always seems to get more respect from both the older and younger generation of people. i've even had kids come out of their ricer cars in the parking lot and compliment it. the classics may not be the quickest things out on the road, but they sure do have tremendous amounts of class.

I think my 2 gen was a good investment, it was my first car and it only cost me $800, its worth alot more then that and i havent even put that much money into the car. I get alot more atention in it then i get in the camaro

Well they were good looking, as far as performance, they were the best in the smog era, I mean yea a 77 TA only had like 200 hp, but that was SAE net hp the 1960s hp monsters didnt measure net hp, so you get artificially high numbers, they are kinda heavy though. But I would take a black and gold 77 or 78 anyday

The 91-92 I favor of all the 3rd Gens. They look the best, and relate to the 93+. The TPI was a good start, and I got mine to haul with 138K on the clock. *****, I even beat an LT1 with it. Of course I have a built trans in it, so no gear slip.
