Default y pipe question

i have kooks long tube headers,high flow cats and the 3 inch y pipe on my 02 camaro. when my car hits about 2300 rpms the y pipe rattles agianst my floor for a second. its not a big deal because i love the power gain that i got but it is kinda annoyin and i was wondering if anyone had a solution to the problem..thank you

I got the same problem, and it's new for me. I think ws6.com sells some kind of brace for them. I'm gonna have to look into it too.

Mufflex sells a bump stop. You can get it through thunder racing. It is a big deal also, IF the knock sensor picks up on the vibration it will retard timing and reduce your power.

I got rid of my y pipe and got the true duals. No more problems with that and I have a much better sounding and flowing exhaust.

My bad. You can find it at the WS6 store. It's called a bump stop hanger. 40 bucks. I wonder if anybody has tried it out yet.

I couldn't get the bumpstop hanger to work for me. I made my own with a rubber hanger and a stainless clamp from autozone. Never had an issue.

Lol, I have seen some people tie a rag around the pipe where it was banging.

urathan motor mounts...cure for all your clearance ills...

my 3" duals are about 1/4" from my frame....and never hit.

How will you know if the car's knock sensor is screwin' up the timing? Will it throw a code?
