too lean with lid?
at a dyno day recently we dynoed a stock ss. it made 310 to the wheels through the auto. we put a lid only on and got 329 to the wheels. the guy running the dyno said it was running too lean and could hurt the car without a tune if he got on the car any. now i am worried that my car is in jeopardy because it is still untuned and i don't have the money for it. is it really gonna run that lean because of basic mods?

i'll get a copy of the dyno sheet, but i was there. lid only swear to the ls1 god. and yeah i figured it wouldn't really hurt anything but thought i'd ask. it was fun to see things change with such simple changes. one of the lt1's gained power when he put his MAF screen back in.

Alright the car was mine and i put down 310/339 on an all stock car. Then we put a lid with a de-screened MAF and pulled 329/ 359. But i was detonating up in the higher RPM's. Ill get the dyno print out to him so he can post since i don't have a scanner.
