Default Magnaflow Impressions.

I just switched catbacks from a TSP Rumbler to a Magnaflow system.

For Exhaust, I have the Edelbrock Stepped long tube headers, I also have the Edelbrock ORY.

The Magnaflow is much quieter as expected, and offers NO RASP.
I no longer have a BLATBLATBLAT sound around 2500rpm, or even any of the notorious "decel" rasp that's associated with a Magnaflow system.

This system produces a nice low tone throughout the RPM range.
At WOT it is pleasent, but it does not have the "Pro-Stock Scream" that the TSP Rumbler had.

All in all I am very happy with my change. I have not noticed any power loss and didn't expect to, but only the track will tell.

I'll be out on Saturday. It is definitely quieter then the other catback, but it's a better quality sound.

That's what I love about the magnaflow, it quells most of the rasp and has a quiet stated sound to it.

Yup. I LOVE my magnaflow. Even with no cats and long tubs the rasp isnt bad. For just cruising around town, keeping it below 3000 its pretty subtle. Nice tone and rumble. Open it up and its mean as hell.

I don't know what you guys are talking about...mine's pretty loud! Of course the cam made it much louder than before. I will admit that when I installed it on my car back when I was stock (my first real mod) it seemed really quiet at idle and part throttle. At WOT it does scream...especially now.

Trust me, after the TSP Rumbler, at WOT it's not that loud.. =)

TSP Rumbler is basically a loud mouth with a Dynomax bullet in place of the resonator.

The rumbler has dynomax bullets in it, not a muffler.

Is that stainless steal?

There is another TSP system that had an actual muffler.

I loved my old Magnaflow setup. Run a cutout if you think it is too quiet at times.

I just traded my magnaflow for some TD's with bullets. I now realize just how quiet the magnaflow was, the TD's are insane but I like it for now but when I get tired of it I'm running it out the back.
