Default MTI clear lid?

Hey guys I just got a MTI clear lid from Speed Inc. It came in a box wrapped in plastic with some other small parts I ordered. It didn't come with any paperwork, instructions, anything. It honestly looks like a cheap piece of crap. Are there any fakes out there? Should it say MTI on it anywhere? It doesn't. Thanks.

Nope they don't say MTI anywhere on them and more than likley they don't send directions. I've been through a few lids and the quality of the MTI unit is pretty much the same or better than the rest.

In the end it should look someone like this, minus the decal on it.

It doesn't say MTI anywhere on it, its pretty self explanatory as to how it goes on, Im sure you can find a write up somewhere.

I put it on and it fit great. Nice and tight. I by no means needed instructions but I thought something would have been included with the lid. Maybe a warranty card, a sticker, something that said MTI on it.

I worked for a shop that just sold the lid with nothing. Granted it was terrible quality and they had a box of 40 that just sat there for years. I broke 1 of them trying to install it on a customer car. They are horrid. If someone would make a lexan lid it would hold up to everything a lot better.

I got mine from speed inc. and thats just how it comes. They wont try and sell you anything but the real thing there pretty cool. To install it just take the old airbox off along with that stupid baffling horsepower robbing sucker stoping thing. And then simply replace with your nice new MTI clear lid. Oh check install university for that instal.
