believe it or not but there are plenty of gorgeous places down south that do not even have income taxes. Granted, the sales tax maybe 7 or 8% instead of 6%, but who cares when there is no income tax?

i like it here, just hate the taxes, and it seems the people we vote for just stick it to us more.
our gov right now sucks. i saw right threw him thats why i didnt vote for him, but he fooled alot of people, then gets in office, uses the state police helicopter rides all over the place, getting rid of the ford and getting a 55k caddy, 27k worth of office furniture. he is a scum bag!!!

oh well. i'll just keep paying taxes.

soon it will be less then half my money for me, more then half to them

I hear ya Brad. I have paid every year since I was 17 And every year the number gets bigger and bigger.

Deval Patrick is a wanka if I ever saw one. He got the teachers to vote for him that is how he won. Those dumb asses cant see past the tip of there own noses when it comes to **** like this.

It just sucks that so many businesses are leaving the state and the general population has no idea what that will do to the state in the long run. "Tax"achusetts is going to get really f'd up in a few years when this all comes crashing down.

Thats a 68,000 salary for wifes chief of staff. How bout them $12,000 curtains he put in his office. All while cutting pay for the already low payed DSS social workers. The term Limosine Liberal fits real well here. how about the "While I was making that call on behalf of Ameriquest I was doing it as a private citizen not as a governor" And all the stupid Libs in this state just love the guy.

Yup he sucks. The salary for his wife's secretary or what ever was actually 72k. Hopefully he doesn't cut pay to us lowly state workers.

Oh you mean like a **** hole like Jersey where the sales tax has been raised to 7% and I still pay income tax?

The tax break is one of the main reasons we bought a house right away rather then waiting... I didn't really want to buy where I did, but it's what we could afford with no $ down, and I've done alot to it to make it what I wanted. Regardless, it's still a way better deal then renting and having nothing to write off at all.

Brad you need to buy a house and rent it out to some people you know, but not report it as rented if you can pull it off.... that will save you a TON of $ in the long run.

Not particularly, lol.
I have family that sold their house here in ct and moved to tennessee. They pay no income tax, used the money from their house in CT to buy an even larger house in Tn, and used the extra money they had left over to buy waterfront property in another part of Tn. They even make as much money as they did here in Ct...not too bad if you ask me
