Default car will not start.....battery is good

its got plenty of juice.....but when I turn the key I can hear a click.....it sounds like its coming from the fuse area.....this has happened before....but after just trying to start it and pushing on the clutch a lot it started.......do yall think it could be the safety switch so the car can't be started in gear....or maybe the starter.....I drive my car everyday

Just a click everytime you turn the key? Thats your starter.

when you drive it and then turn it off and try to turn it back on right away does it start? because if dont your started might be heating up and you have to let it cool down for it to start again.I would think if its your safety switch then probably wouldnt start at all.

Make sure you check both of your battery cables. There was a small amount of corrosion on my negative battery cable and it would cause intermittent starting problems like you described.

It is your starter. However, your starter may still work even though its bad if you sit there and turn the key it "may" start but it wont do that forever. Get a new starter and itll fix your issues

Thats what my camaro did, when i went to turn it - Nothing. No crank no click, did it 10+ times and it would randomly fire up. Tapped the starter when i was inspecting it when it was acting like that and it fired right up = dead starter or bad relay

There is something called a clutch position sensor,

and in my 4th Gen Trans Am the engine will not start unless the clutch is in a certain position just short of being pushed all the way in....

I would first push the clutch all the way in, then back it out a little before I turn the key.

Other than that I would say that your starter is failing, a dirty connection somewhere in the vehicle that could also disrupt the starting sequence through the computer, or something to that matter.
