Default 2.1 60 ft WTF

All right my first time at track ever..I ran 2.1 60 ft with et streets. I ran a 8.0 with that. What am I doing wrong? 2000 TA a4, lid/filter,flowmaster,75 shot.
when I do a burnout in the water box my et streets don't spin the rear ends just hops and vibrates. on the street with no burnout those tires where awesome but at the track they just spin..please any ideas. 15 psi in each.

I say more practice w/o using the nitrous and see if you can get better cuts.

Are you spraying out of the hole? Trying holding off on the spray until you get out a little bit, then hit it. What's the 60ft on motor? Do you have any suspension upgrades? Need a few more details, you've got to be doing some sort of burnout, but if they are not heated up then you'll never stick it.

Continue the wheel hop, and start saving for a driveline... Cure that B4 you trash stuff.
If you can't do a burnout, you need to look at the suspension setup, first...

Also, if your tires don't spin after going through the water box....... your tires are still wet.

Maybe avoid the box.

Are you powerbraking, or just punching the gas?

my car never did well with et. streets for some reason, did much better with a set of drag radials.. if you dont have a stall probably just to much tire at a treated track for you

Don't do the burnout in the waterbox, back into it, spin the tires over 1-2 revolutions to get the tire wet all around, then pull forward a few feet past the waterbox and do the burnout.

True, with a 4000 stall and 3:23 gears my 60ft and ET went down on ET streets. I had to up the gear to take advange of them. I did better on 315 nittos. If you are stock stall/gear it is too much tire. We need a list of your mods to help more

Thanks guys, and yeah stock stall and gears. so do you think nitto 555r drag radials would work better for me as of right now. at the track you can't avoid the box everybody has to go through it. and yes I try to power brake in the water box and out of it, and still the tires won't spin the rear just lifts up and the brakes won't hold it from moving. I hate how they rush you at my local track theres so many shitty hondas and the like. and you have to wait like 45 min for each pass.

Hey finally got my Z28 today and as it sits it has whisper lid, dynomax bullet muffler, and 3:73 gears. Got an extra set of rims for it and wanted to know what the best rear tire would be for the track tires, was thinking some ET streets but now not sure after this thread. Thanks in advance

His tires are not the problem. Buy an SLP line lock for $130 and that will solve your not being able to do a burn out. If those tires are warm and dry, they will hook, specially with those mods on an auto.

Wheel hop is definetly your enemy. Buy an adjustable torque arm. If you buy one that isn't adjustable, you will be buying it twice like me. Replace the LCA's. Replace the panhard rod. That will kill the wheel hop.
