Default Those with scavenge pumps come in!

Just a few questions for those with oil return pumps. I have 1 for my twin set up as the turbos sit pretty low. Have you guys experienced any problems running your pumps? One of my worries is the pump dying and all my **** blowing up, lol. I would like to set up a light to it somehow so if it stops pumping, the light goes off..... any idea on how i can do this or if anyone has? Thanks!

jus get you a oil press switch thats a dummy light sensor.when its got no pressure it would ground a light and therefore giving you some piece of mind . you can either go aftermarket or cheapout and go to autoparts store and get a factory replacement sensor . thats my thought on the matter, hope it helps

How high above your turbo drain are you guys mounting your pumps? Like how far uphill does the oil travel to the pump?

lol yea, but id like to know right away so the turbos dont get damaged. I think one problem i may have is the pump being up too high for its liking. I'm going to lower it.

Trust me, you'll know when the pump stops working. lol And so will the rest of the county.

You ever been to the airshow? Your car will give giving off a plume of smoke similar to one of those jets.....

you want the turbo to drain into the pump to prime it. i had this setup before, i tried everything, the best way to do it is the above mentioned.

Mine failed and as stated above, smoke city. I did an awesome James Bond style smoke screen on the cars behind me. Shut down and saved the turbo. That was my only warning system.

I had one of the wires short and man, did it smoke! I thought I had lost a turbo seal at first, but I had to get off the freeway and I went thru 6qts of oil in just a few minutes. The turbos seem to be fine, but I shut it down when I lost oil pressure (emptied the sump).

Weldon 9200 is the best electric. Ed at Late Model Speed can hook you up or point you to a belt driven mechanical pump which is probably the best setup period.
