Thumbs up Car Craft L92's on LQ4 article

You guys need to pick the latest issue up if you don't have it. Pretty good info. To sum it up over 2 months they got a junk yard LQ4 put a gm hot cam(219/228 .525 112) in it and a 750 carb with headers and got 483hp@6000/450tq@5000 then swaped on some L92's, 850 carb, 228/230 .571/.573 112lsa XR cam and hit 550hp@6800/464tq@5400.
I wish they would have shown gains with just heads then the cam and bigger carb swap but magazines seem to always screw up a test somehow.
The L92's didn't make any more power until 5000 and was down 2-16hp pretty much from 2400-4600 but the cam could have done some of that. But that does explain why mine doesn't really turn it on till 4500.

Car Craft is a sister company with Hot Rod and Chevy Hi performance and they do share builds sometimes. Maybe one of the others will use the platform to due some more testing.

They do the carbs cause that is what they know. They'd have to get someone to come in and tune it most likely and would throw them over their tiny budgets since most of the parts are given to them.
