Windows "pop" at high speeds?

Windows "pop" at high speeds?
OK, lets try this again....
Pontiac’s GTA Firebird clocked in at 141 mph. The Firebird suspension and handling were real standouts. On the banking, at speed, the Firebird was so precise it was hard to believe. It was possible to place the car within inches of the desired spot on the track, and the steering was exactly linear. The whole effect was almost unnatural, and we found ourselves looking for ways to test our accuracy. At 135 mph, the driver-side window popped loose from the seal, making a dramatic increase in interior noise. At that exact speed, the airflow around the A-pillar created a low enough pressure to overcome the mechanical forces holding the glass against the seal. The precision handling and steering of the Pontiac Firebird made it a real pleasure to drive at speed, and the speedometer was equally precise, agreeing exactly with the speed radar gun at 141 mph.
I have read about this phenomina 2 times now in 3rd gen F-bodies. Did they cure this on our 4th gens? Anyone had a 4th gen T-top car do this (T-tops on/windows up of course!!!)???
Maybe this time I will get less people saying "125 and I chickened out" now that I selected a more applicable title..

I've never had this happen to me. I do know that the new c6 vettes solved this problem by lowering the windows 1/4" upon opening the door and then after the door is shut they close back into the door/window seals. This is to prevent them from "popping" at high speeds.

I've had the speedo on my Z28 pegged a couple of times and didn't notice this.

I've taken my car up to 135 several times, exactly, and never over. Never had any trouble with window pop.
Like AronZ28 says, it sounds like a sad reality for cars that don't have the frame all the way around. And I'm sure it doesn't help that the window feels/sounds a bit "loose" in our cars.

It doesnt cause any damage that I know of. If you have alot of turbulance around the car when you are going that fast it will pull them out just a hair. Sounds like the window is cracked. I went by my ex wife in her Z with my Caprice at 159 and the air from my car made her windows do that.

Mines never done it. Within the last month I took it between 155 and 170....speedo stops at 155 obviously, but my shift-lite didnt come on which would have indicated 170. So it was somewhere in between. I have taken it to 130-140 numerous times with no issues either. This was all done in a controlled environment of course
