what happens when...
a brake caliper comes off while on a freeway and gets stuck in between the rotor and wheel shredding the inside of the wheel and knocking off the the balance weights???
do i need to have it re-balanced or replace the wheel?

from the sound of it you should probably replace the wheel. yes it could probably be rebalanced and maybe be fine but the wheel could also come apart on you later on and cause you and your car alot more harm.I personally wouldnt trust the wheel right now and would replace it.

yeah they work fine. I wouldn't worry about the rim. It'll be fine. i had that happen on my '00 V6 camaro. One of the bolt worked it's way loose(don't know how) and came off. I limped it home and found a replacement bolt. just left a scrap like the one you posted in the rim. Ran it for 2 years like that and no problems.~Cole~

Just get some new rotors, bolts, and pads if you lost them.

Maybe you can fine someone who is parting out their mounting bracket.

actually i was wrong...i got the stripped bolts out and the threading is still intact...the PAB isnt supposed to have threads so i dunno what i was thinking earlier...but i was told that i shouldnt have to turn my rotor
