Brake Bleeder Screw Part numbers
Hey guys,
One of my stock bleeder screws is broken. It seems the little copper shaft and plunger was stuck and when I loosened it...it broke.
I need a new rear screw.
I figured I'll pick up 2 fronts and 2 rears and replace them while I'm at it just in case.
What are the part numbers for the front?
What are the part numbers for the rear?
Thanks!

Front and back are different. I ordered Earl's Solobleeders from Tbyrne and they are listed separately.
I also heard that the check valve on these bleeders will go bad after a while. But I guess I can just use these bleeders the traditional way when that happens.

I had previously ordered Earl's bleeders in the past and what they sent me only fit on the rears. The fronts didn't fit.
I had them in the rears for about 18 months and the copper shaft/plunger broke on BOTH rears. When you tried to bleed them....no bleeding! When I pulled it out to inspect it...sure enough the plunger was seized into the opening. Once you remove the plunger you will have a leak. I then had to make an emergency run looking for replacements not to mention fish out any pieces of metal stuck in the hole.
I recommend that you do not use the Earl's bleeders...they WILL break.
I picked up a set of solo bleeders at the local parts store for $9 and they don't have springs. Not sure how they work but they look pretty sturdy.

FYI...got my speed bleeders. They don't work. They're about 1/2" too short to seal in the caliper correctly. Glad I wasted my money and the Russell part numbers are incorrect. Good thing I made a backup and went to the dealer and picked up a replacement.

The one suggested above 639630. They are listed on the page linked above for 98-02 Camaros but they don't work. They physically screw in but aren't long enough to seal the hole when tightened all the way in. Now I gotta see if Summit will take the pair back that didn't work. I didn't open the other pair. Since I use a Mity Vac to bleed the brakes these are really kind of pointless.

As far as the stock bleeder screws, my 2000 Z28 has different ones for front and back. I just switched back to stock from the earl solobleeders. During the swap, the stock right front was leaking. The longer bleeder screws are for the front and the shorter screws are for the rear - I learned the hard way. Anyway, instead of the earls I'm just using the stock screws and a motive power bleeder.

This WKND I tred the Russell 639630 comparable to Speed Bleeders suggested shorter SB1010S and they were indeed to short and leaked all the way tight.
They could have used a few more threads.
I then tried Russell 639560 comparable to Speed Bleeders longer SB1010
And they fit great on my C5 brakes.
By the way my OEM bleeders came out the same size front and rear.
Russell bleeders are awesome!
